WIC Research Starter Skills Webinar Recordings

Last Autumn our WiC Research Group delivered a new webinar series supporting early-career clinicians and students to engage with cardiovascular research. Sessions included: protocol design, systematic review and meta-analysis, medical statistics, research publication and critical appraisal.

This six-session programme is designed to equip medical students and foundation doctors with the core knowledge & confidence to get involved in medical statistics, pre-clinical and clinical research. The series culminated in a Journal Club session, pulling together knowledge and skills built across the series for critical appraisal.

The series received fantastic feedback, with 96.1% of respondents reporting increased confidence in the subject matter following teaching, 98.6% rating the teaching as good or excellent, and 95.8% rating the sessions as very or extremely useful.

Thanks to our incredible faculty: Dr Holly Morgan, Professor Sheila Francis, Dr Paz Tayal, Dr Claire Hastie, Dr Fozia Ahmed and Dr Anvesha Singh.
