This year's Strickland Goodall Lecture is presented by Prof Nessa Carey PHD, currently CEO of a spin-out from Queen Mary University London and part of a team leading the development of a ground-breaking undergraduate course – the MSci in Medical Science and Innovation – at Imperial College.
Nessa's lecture is on 'Are we nearly there yet? – why we’re always 5 years away from reaping the benefits of the Human Genome Project'.
Following the conclusion of the Strickland Goodall Lecture, Prof Nessa Carey will be conducting a book signing of her latest publication 'Hacking the Code of Life' until around 6.30pm at the Blackwell's Manchester book stand located in the Education Hall. Copies will be available to purchase from Blackwell's on the day.
